Description: IWhat inspires you to add new strategies to your teacher toolkit? Maybe you are comfortable with Project Based Learning (PBL) but now you want to add technology. Perhaps you are new to PBL but you have authentic ideas to reach ambitious instructional goals. Turn these ideas into your own project! No matter your level of readiness with PBL this session will provide opportunities for you to explore the seven common phases of Project Based Learning: 1) Identifying a topic, problem, or issue for examination, 2) Sharing prior knowledge and experience, 3) Planning and assigning tasks, 4) Researching the topic or issue, 5) Conceptualizing the product, 6) Creating and presenting the product, 7) Evaluating the project and assessing learning. You will also learn how to align projects to skill-based and content-based learning objectives and will review examples and explore new ideas. You will walk away with an outline of a project that will incorporate technology and PBL essential elements.
